Preparing the projectile(s)

For each specified event in the BOT it

opens a projectile,
changes any inputs that you specify
runs the analysis
produces the specified results
closes the projectile without saving

Before you start it is good to make sure your projectiles are in the expected state. For instance if you need mass properties, has mass properties been run and saved.

One thing that I have found helpful when preparing for a Bot run, is to manually open any projectiles that will be involved. Pull up the analysis that you will be using and check the inputs.

You are looking for:

Is the setup what you would expect for your default run ?
Any strange values ?
Make sure any variables you are going to change are unlocked.
Go ahead and save this projectile into a different area or under a different name. This will allow you to come back to it later and have a known starting point.
